
Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup half and half cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 clove garlic, smashed and minced
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper(optional)
Pasta
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until it is tender but still firm to the bite.
- Drain noodles and place back into large pot. Drizzle 1-2 tbsp of olive oil and season with 1/2 tsp salt. Gently mix together. Transfer pasta to large serving dish.
Sauce
- Combine butter, cream, milk, salt and garlic in deep pan. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat. Add 2 tbsp of thickening agent( flour/milk mixture) to cream mixture. Stir till thickening occurs. If the thicker sauce is desired mix in 1 more tbsp thickening agent. Add noodles to the sauce, and toss to coat. At this time, add the parmesan cheese and continue to stir gently to incorporate cheese into the sauce.
- Season to taste. Place selected type of meat on top of the noodles and serve.
